I was in my friends stereo store doing customer repairs pick-ups and drop-offs.
He gives me this Pre-Amp, saying "here's a chassis for you to play with" meaning without saying: "I think this is junk"
Turns out this is essentially a DYI kit that you can source on the NET.
It didn't work. Had some broken wires, some miss-wires, half disassembled, boards floating...
Any-whoo, got it all working.
Sounds OK in the workshop with test speakers (mongrel parts cobbled together so if I blow them up, no great loss).
I didn't put it through the paces, as the shop is pretty busy at the moment.
The question is: is this anything special? Anyone own one?
Should I spend time hooking it up to quality components?
