Zener equivalent?

hi there. I have a technics su8080 amp. There is an intermittent fault where the relay clicks the speakers off every now and ten, for two seconds or so. I First want to eliminate potential faulty components on the protect relay board, as dc offset and bias levels aren't fluctuating, I have calibrated these. There is tr 405, a relay drive tranny which is measuring a bit weak, so I will replace that. I have tested all resistors on this board - all ok. I want to replace the zeners to be sure, these are d515 and d516, 24v zeners. I can't find specs for these anywhere, svdmz324. Could I replace these with 1n4749a? Thanks!

Most likely that will do just fine.

Make sure that new zener is designed for the same current as old one.

Probably a good idea to also replace any elecrolytic caps that are in any way associated with that relay drive transistor.

Thanks guys, just to confirm, I have done a full recap on the amp and she is sounding way better, well apart from this intermittent fault anyway....
