My daughter wanted this unit that belonged to her grandmother, who recently passed. The radio section functions as it should, but the turntable does not.
The switch on the right side to turn it on, appears to be stuck? It will not turn. Looking for advise on this repair and also any manuals: repair and or owner. The label on the turntable has these numbers: 169-290 and 8576620 I295 a33.

I was thinking about just finding a "similar" Zenith stand a lone turntable, and replace the full turntable unit?

Any help and or direction would be appreciated.

Usually dried grease turns to glue. 91% or higher alcohol and an assortment of brushes will get these moving again. Don't try to adjust or force anything until you get everything free.

Another problem with the switch on these now that they are old is the plastic encased power switch directly under the tonearm.
The plastic mounts get brittle with age and break off and will jam the movement.

if this has happened, that switch will need to be replaced, you have to mail all remnants of the broken switch to Gary at thevoiceofmusic.com and he will send you a new one. He rebuilds the broken ones. The switches are usually amber or greenish in color.
