Mourning involves inhabiting heartbreak. Magnifying the sense of loss deepening the sense of separation. Celebrate all of the moments of love. The moments of shared pleasure. The moments of gratitude for the presence of the individual. There will be such a mountain of them to push aside grief with recollection of the joy of their company. Celebrate what will never die and mourning will never overshadow your memories.

Hi there,

I own a Pioneer PLC-590 and managed to acquire the PA-5000 the other week. Did you manage to find out about the specifications (dimensions and centering) for the arm board? And if so, could you maybe pass them on to me?

Kind regards

Steve
Hello, I have a Mcintosh 2505 that is fine for about 15 min and a loud, and I mean Loud buzz comes from the right channel that is not controlled by the volume pots for either channel. It loses that audio from the preamp. Just the loud buzz. It registers on the right meter. If I turn the speaker switch off, it goes away. It is the only way to get rid of it. I got it on the bench right now. Any suggestions? Thanks

Reading your post, I have no idea what you mean by "It loses that audio from the preamp." Could you please be clearer in explaining your issue, when it happens and what the association between your preamplifier and MC2505 has to do with the buzzing noise?

Sorry yes that does not sound clear. I took the amp and benched it by itself, starting to check voltages, and have the same issue. On for 10 min running perfectly and then it goes off the rails with a loud buzz immediately. What I meant was the audio being fed in from the preamp into the 2505 is not present anymore within the signal along with buzz.

This problem persists with no signal being fed into the 2505

Hi! Do you know where I might find a dearing support piece for the 1229 model? Klaus on Vinyl Engine had been selling them, but the place where he had them manufactured is no longer in business. Might you have any ideas? Thanks, Mark
Hi Dave,
Richard at AntiqueRadios recommended you to replace the lamp on my Realistic STA-240 receiver. The burned out bulb is hard wired/soldered and mounted on a small board with designation ISOSAKI 7186. The voltage across its leads with the power on is 7.1 or 7.2 V AC. Do you have an replacement bulb for this receiver, or know where to get one?
Should I replace it with an incandescent bulb or LED?
Thanks, Emil

The LED will last longer but apparently needs a 1K ohm resistor as well to not burn out instantly. Maybe safer just to go with the incandescent bulb that is guaranteed to work with the circuit in this radio? (The original bulb lasted 46 years!)
Is there a chance you still have the power supply schematic to the Sound Valves VTP-100?
I have the circuit schematic but the power supply part seems to unavailable.

Hi Glenn, Hope you and your family are well. Curious if there will be a meet up this spring? Last meet you played a box scags OUT OF THE BLUES. Had to buy it great record. Hopefully see you soon Steven

Hi Steven!
Good to hear from you! All is well and hope the same for you.
I’m not planning a Spring meet. The turnout has been disappointing, especially with so many AK members in the tri-state area, and I end up eating much of the lodge rental cost. Maybe in the fall if I get at least 20 to commit to attend to cover costs.
Anyway, stay well and enjoy the tunes!
Glenn
I have a Sansui AU 888 that has hum on both speaker outputs. I am seeing 1.2 V on both right and left speaker terminals. The right channel pre-out works fine when plugged into a separate power app but the left channel is showing 10 to 20 V off the left preout jack while the right channel output check is showing 2 mV.
Hi Tom, I have been sent your way from ARF. I have just come into possession of a Stromberg-Carlson 642A and I am having the darndest time locating a parts list and alignment data for this tank. The Rider's schematic does not provide a legend for most of the numbered circuit labels. Would you be able to point me in the right direction? Many thanks.20260322_174136.jpg
