Its a great table. Make sure you open up the platter assembly and check the condition of the foam isolation pads. They rot away over time, on my DP80 they were half disintegrated.

I used a medium density foam that was close to the same thickness, worked fine. Amazon have a large selection of sheet foams to choose from.

I own a Pioneer PLC-590 and managed to acquire the PA-5000 the other week. Did you manage to find out about the specifications (dimensions and centering) for the arm board? And if so, could you maybe pass them on to me?

Hello, I have a Mcintosh 2505 that is fine for about 15 min and a loud, and I mean Loud buzz comes from the right channel that is not controlled by the volume pots for either channel. It loses that audio from the preamp. Just the loud buzz. It registers on the right meter. If I turn the speaker switch off, it goes away. It is the only way to get rid of it. I got it on the bench right now. Any suggestions? Thanks

Reading your post, I have no idea what you mean by "It loses that audio from the preamp." Could you please be clearer in explaining your issue, when it happens and what the association between your preamplifier and MC2505 has to do with the buzzing noise?

Sorry yes that does not sound clear. I took the amp and benched it by itself, starting to check voltages, and have the same issue. On for 10 min running perfectly and then it goes off the rails with a loud buzz immediately. What I meant was the audio being fed in from the preamp into the 2505 is not present anymore within the signal along with buzz.

Hi! Do you know where I might find a dearing support piece for the 1229 model? Klaus on Vinyl Engine had been selling them, but the place where he had them manufactured is no longer in business. Might you have any ideas? Thanks, Mark

Richard at AntiqueRadios recommended you to replace the lamp on my Realistic STA-240 receiver. The burned out bulb is hard wired/soldered and mounted on a small board with designation ISOSAKI 7186. The voltage across its leads with the power on is 7.1 or 7.2 V AC. Do you have an replacement bulb for this receiver, or know where to get one?
Should I replace it with an incandescent bulb or LED?

The LED will last longer but apparently needs a 1K ohm resistor as well to not burn out instantly. Maybe safer just to go with the incandescent bulb that is guaranteed to work with the circuit in this radio? (The original bulb lasted 46 years!)

Is there a chance you still have the power supply schematic to the Sound Valves VTP-100?
I have the circuit schematic but the power supply part seems to unavailable.
