I just bought MeatLoafs new CD and it won't play in either my CD-RW drive or my DVD-R drive in my computer. OF course it works just fine in my CD player and my DVD player. I'm assuming it's some sort of copy guard protection. Anybody know what the hell is going on?

Is it from Sony??

I know Sony was trying a new protection scheme that was causing problems on some computer CD/R/RW drives and some CD-RW units. It was bad enough that Apple had to issue a patch to keep their super-drives from hanging up with these disks.

Its labelled on EMI records from Canada. It claims compatible with CD/DVD-V/DVD-A/SACD/players
PC-MS Windows 95,Pentium2,233mhz,64MB Ram
Mac OS8.6-9+,CarbonLib & Mac OS X
Playback problems may be encountered on some equipment

That's exactly what it states on the label.
