PS It was going to be a bear to drop in the turntable without having an edge to hang onto, so I cheated and put the rear strip of wood on magnetic locator pins.

Thanks!!!

Yeah, it only took me a few hours Saturday and Sunday. I just cut two boards at angles, glued and screwed them together in parallel to form the basic frame material, then mitered the corners and made the base insert (MDF; beveled edges) and back rail. Total number of cuts was really low. But I'd spent weeks planning it, to get the dimensions dialed in.

Here are the matching amps:

Wow! That is really cool! I especially like the complimentary bases on the monoblocks and phono stage!

That's real artisanship!

That is amazing work Z!! Fantastic, has a very classy look to it! :tresbon:

It just goes to show, you can't measure a man's talents by his looks alone. :)

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! Really dig the angle on the plinth! You also picked an excellent color for the top plate of the turntable, to match the wood. :thmbsp:

All I can say is WOW. What a classy looking set up. I to like the angles and the gold top plate. Question What cartridge is that mounted?

Thanks!!! It's a Denon DL-301MK2 that I just bought, with an SAE 1000E behind it in the extra storage socket.

Kudos on the drop in plinth!

I am using an ancient Denon DL-301 on my Technics SL-1700.

There is also a Denon DL-301 MKII on my Sansui turn table.

Looking forward to you report on the Denon DL-301 MKII. :music:
