My new setup

My wife got this for me for my bday last year. Sx-550 not sure of the turntable right now. In wilmington for thanksgiving. Has the speakers with it too. Wondering if I️ should get an amp to go with it?

I don't think this receiver has a pre-amp output, so an amp wouldn't be an option. If you're happy with the way it sounds now, I'd say enjoy as is. If you want a bit more volume, maybe looking into a pair of more efficient speakers might do the trick. Do you have a manual? Hifiengine and Vinlyengine have them on their site. You don't need a amp for that it should sound really good with the right speakers! those are great receivers and that is a very nice turntable!

This Pioneer SX-550 have MM phono input and if you satisfied with sound then you dont need aditional receiver.
