hi max.. need help in repairing the sony str db940.. before that 1 quick question. This amp has 3 2581v ics and 1 of them is dead (ic 601 for center channel). Will the amp works without this IC? or will it go to protect mode ? I know i can try it.. just want your opinion before try. Will wait for you reply.

Do you know what multi-turn pots should be used to replace the ones on the 1060? I see the service manual shows two at 100K ohms and the other two at 470K ohms.

Hi Max, I'm new to the AK forum and discovered your Youtube page also. I was watching your BGW 100 repair and I'm wondering about how the light bulb is used in your final testing. I'm guessing it's working as a buffer of some sort but have no idea how that would be wired in. I've just finished cleaning up a Phase Linear 400 and with their reputation I don't really want to fry my speakers when I fire it up for the first time. If you could offer some suggestions or direction, I'd certainly appreciate it. I do have a post running with the PL 400 clean up. Thanks a million!
