    I have a Sansui AU 888 that has hum on both speaker outputs. I am seeing 1.2 V on both right and left speaker terminals. The right channel pre-out works fine when plugged into a separate power app but the left channel is showing 10 to 20 V off the left preout jack while the right channel output check is showing 2 mV.

    I am currently restoring it and have the right channel playing well through a separate power amp.But I’m having a heck of a time trying to figure out why the left channel has 20 V on the preamp left output.

    Have a Technics SA-800 stereo receiver.Everything works well except I have no AM or FM output.Meters don’t move and dead silence on both.Any suggestions on where to check for the trouble?

    Harmon-Kardon 730 twin power receiver.Right channel good,left channel steady hiss like fm inter station noise.power amp is good.When I push the low filter,get a loud thump,also lose bass,treble controls on the left channel only?

    After cleaning all switches and controls the next item are the control and switch solder connections.

    Front switches and controls are a continuous line of solder connections that always go bad.

    Remove bottom and reflow all solder connections for controls and switches.

    Denon POA-1500 power amp.Unit comes on and relay clicks when speaker A is pressed.Absolutely no sound out of either channel.Any input on possible problems?

    Denon PA-1500 amp.Just this amp use 24V bulbs for the meters and center light?Also the amp powers on and relays on but no output!DC at the speaker terminals is only 5mv.

    Sansui model 8 receiver. Everything seems to be working well except I can’t get FM stereo light to come on.

    I have a Harman Cardin receiver. I’m working on the output board. left channel is fine.bias set to 35mv.Right channel no sound output and cannot set the bias.New trim pots installed.Bulb dimmer dims right down as it should.??

    I have a Kenwood kr-9600 that when I power it on,the protection relay trips for a second,and then all is fine.I’m thinking maybe there is a bad capacitor on the preamp board somewhere. if I separate the preamp power in jacks, this doesn’t happen.
