Help to identify this Fisher!

Got this receiver today. The thing is flawless! But while it says Fisher there is a weird model number on a manual: 61 92541 and it says Sears Audio by Fisher.
Does anyone know anything about this model?

I don't have a clue but it looks cool.

Nice big trannie and caps. Looks like you have 4 TO-3 style final outputs.
All of these things are good. What are the finals, do you know?

Are you sure there isn't a "5" in front of that "61"?

Sears sold a full line of components in the mid-late 70's made for them by Fisher.
Hence the "Sears Audio by Fisher" brand. Sort of like the MCS gear sold
by JC Penny.

The 1st 3 digits (in front of the decimal point) in a Sears stock/model no.
identify the manufacturer. 561 is Sanyo, who bought out the original Fisher.

Fisher receiver

There is no S in front of 61.
Is there a pure Fisher analog?
Per manual (yeah, I got a manual too!) it is 40 WPC. Has pre-our/main in and handles 3 pairs of speakers.
It's actually interesting: when it's off the glass is just black and there is nothing you can see. But when you turn it on the whole thing comes to view!
Besides it sounds great!

It looks like a nice unit, and if it sounds great what can be bad? How does it compare to your other gear, like the pioneer?

Fisher

It sounds really good. I have a bunch of 30-50 watt receivers (Yamaha R-700, Sansui G-4700 and Marantz 2230) and this Fisher is probably closest second after Marantz IMHO.
Too bad I don't have use for all of them and will have to sell. By the way: does anyone know when classifieds will be running again?
