I can scale one up: SX-1250 and 5590!
The 5590 is the best sounding amp I have and is in my main system:

Hey agger, wonderful receivers, you got there, close to Köln. To me, SX-1250/5590 are the best Pioneer receivers ever.
I wonder if siamac will chime in??

I love mine, but I wouldn't mind having a 5580/90 to keep them company ..spares...yeah i can tell her spares....

Had a 5590 back in the day in Germany.Just acquired a 1250.Still prefer the black version.

Thanks Helmut! Yes the 5590 is my main receiver:thmbsp:
But I haven't been able to find more goodies for a reasonable price this year

Black faced Pioneers of that era are just plain cool. I also have a 5590 and find it to be more than just a pretty face. Serious performance from a receiver.

Those black receivers are indeed a piece of true beauty which is more than skindeep.. To bad my 5590 wasn't functioning right.. I gave her to a tech to do it right.. hope to get it back somewhere and of next week.. Than I will make a nice "black" vintage setup with my PL-570X, 5590, P-D1 and HPM-110's!!, what is that for a special vintage setup??
