''FRINGE' is back !!!

Our favorite and beloved sci-fi show ''FRINGE'' returns this Friday,Sept 28 at 8pm CST on Fox!!!!!
As you know,, FRINGE won the hearts of many of us AK members because of Walter and his vintage audio system, that of which I hope to be seeing more of this year...
Now here's the bad news  This will be it's final season, and it's only going to be on for 13 weeks . After that, the series ends. :tears:
What's so strange though,, is that it's a very popular show, but unfortunately, the ratings aren't there.. But out of respect and consideration for the loyalty of the fans that it does have, Fox has decided to renew the show one more time, and give us 13 weeks..A very generous move on their part.. :thmbsp: :tresbon:

About damn time! I loved that show. Not just for Walter's system though, mostly for the scientific theory and suspense. It was an enjoyable show to watch. It's also a shame that it's going to be coming to an end.

x!!!!!

if it's a very popular show the ratings are there While you may like it, it must not be very popular

Well Da-Here-Da-Here-Da-Here I won't be able to get Ms SuWiggns to work on Fri.

That's a very good question kbott, And yes I guess that saying that ''it's a popular show ,but the ratings aren't there'' does sound a little contradictory..
But the answer to your question I believe is DVRs.. Friday night is a bad night for any tv show. People like to go out on Friday, so what do they do ??? They set their DVRs and still VCRs to tape their favorite shows.. The question is. ''Do the ratings people take that into consideration ?? Assuming that ratings are all computerized now-a-days, do their computers even know that there is a DVR or a VCR taping a show ?? If that is the case, then there is no way that ratings can be accurate...

You know their business better than they do, eh?

Yeah! That's my favorite currently-running show. But audio equipment has nothing to do with the reasons that I like it.

Well, the same thing happened some years back with a show called ''Jericho''
It was also on a Friday night.. The show was cancelled due to low ratings.. But then ,after the show was cancelled, so many people wrote to CBS praising the show, and complaining about it being cancelled, that CBS decided to bring the show back !! It was on for another season after that.. At the end of the show of the renewed season, the actors came on special to personally thank everyone who wrote in,and saved their show... I thought that was very nice..
The same thing is happening now with CSI Miami.. There are a lot of complaints about it's cancellation, but I guess not enough to write in.. So all I'm saying is that,, sometimes, you just have to wonder about this whole ratings thing...

Umm - Jericho only had 2 seasons total ...
CBS killed it at the end of season 1 and the fans got it back for Season 2

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho_(TV_series)

But - post-Nuclear attack series was a tough sell, coming so close to the Sept 11 2001 attack.

I don't regard "season 3 and Season 4" (which were only published in comic books!!) to be significant - they weren't the TV show.

You apparently forgot - TV shows are the cheap filler between the advertising opportunities!

Yep,Fringe is my household's farvorite show.On par with the X-files in writing and production values.Maybe if enough fans write in we can save it.

FRINGE!!

Does WalterNet have a stereo? Probably not ... he's evil, so he's got an iPod.

PS The "other" Olivia is waay hotter than Olivia.

Jericho was a great show. Watched both seasons on Netflix in less than two weeks! Did kind of go off the rails near the end though.

Faux-livia!

She walked kinda dorky, but was fun!

Where did you hear that it is coming to an end? I hope that you're wrong about this.

The average viewer would rather watch The Kardashions, Jersey Shore, someone cooking an egg or some other stupid reality show. Only people of higher intellect (a surprising few) would exercise their brain by watching Fringe.
