Hey all I picked these receivers up the other day $100 for both and never heard of them. I was wondering who made them any ideas are they good sounding receivers. I haven't hook them up yet.

Setton is pretty much highly regarded here at AK.
If in good working order you did good.
The 440 is almost identical to the Lafayette LR-5555. I think the 440 is rated at 55 or 60 watts per channel.
The bigger Setton 660 is almost identical to Lafayettes LR-9090

Pretty sure Foster, in Japan, made them. They made stuff for a lot of companies. Although Setton seems to be the best looking stuff they did. Kind of uncommon too, which is always nice.

You can probably get a better deal as a repeat buyer.

Google "Jack Setton Stereo". There is an informative post from a former Setton salesman.
