60 Cycle Hum Driving Me Batty

I have a circuit which takes a 15VDC supply from a wall adapter. Most connections are made by shielded cables and I have employed the manufacturer's (and others) recommendations for hum reduction. Is it possible to insert a 60-cycle notch filter or other high-pass that'll attenuate the hum?

    Adcom GTP-350 PreAmp/Tuner with 60 HZ Hum

I've had this Adcom GTP-350 solid state pre-amp for about 7 years and the 60Hz hum has gotten a little louder in the past year. An old friend is starting to struggle...

So I got my new copy of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers' Moanin' LP in the mail this morning. Dropped it on my trusty, old (hey, I bought it in the spring of 1981) Philips AF-829, and wow!!! Sounds great! Five minutes into the first track, and I get nailed with that 60 Hz tone.... No...

I've been tinkering on and off all summer trying unsuccessfully to get the hum out of a 1960 model year Motorola console (this...

    yet another hum elimination question

I'm trying to eliminate a 60hz hum in a 1960 Motorola console stereo. I've replaced the power caps, the rectifier, the 12AX7s, and put in a grounded plug. I will be replacing the power tubes with a matched set of EL84s in the coming months (likely the JJ EL844s), but somehow I don't expect this...

    A hum in the Sherwood

My current office setup is an old Sherwood S-7110B driving a pair of Mission 760 speakers. Apart from the radio, my inputs are a computer and iPad, which run through an ODAC from JDS Labs. The sound from this system was really great until a couple of nights ago when I noticed a distinct 60 Hz...
