    Teac A-3440 with capstan servo fault (found where but not why)

    Hi, I'm stuck trying to find out why the capstan motor on a Teac A-3440 doesn't spin when the safety lever is pulled (as if a tape was loaded). I restored the power supply board (recaped, all silicon diodes replaced). All fuses are good. Capstan motor has 30V going to it. A quick test by...

    TEAK A3440 distortion:

    Hi guys I have a problem with my Teac A3340. It powers on fine everything works as it should however after about five mins I start to get distortion in both record and playback modes. The distortion becomes more noticeable as time goes on. Could this be faulty or failing Caps?
