    AR-3a: Is there a way to treat/condition the pots without taking the speaker apart?

    AR 3a Crossover - What difference would 180uf vs 150uf make?

    I'm in the process of restoring a nice pair of AR-3a's. This is the second set I've done and they're really turning out nice. I sent away for some new caps for the crossover. The crossover requires a 6 uf, 50 uf and 150 uf cap. The supplier sent all six and before I put them in I tested them...

    AR-3As: Marantz 2270, 2250 or Pioneer SX-850 Receiver?

    Have a pair of AR-3a speakers for '69 that have been totally rehabbed, top to bottom, inside and out. Looking at a Marantz 2270 or 2250 or a Pioneer SX-850. One thing maybe worth noting is the system will play in an open, large room with 40ft tall ceilings and glass windows along one side...
