    Question for the British bookshelf experts

    Reading around about British speakers in the BBC lineage, I'm intrigued by their reputed presentation - as if offering a 'window' onto the original recording where things are depicted almost in miniature and image very precisely. I'd like to get an idea of this sound, as I think it would work...

    Considering Spendor BC 3's

    I found a pair of Spendor BC 3's at a local record shop. Frankly, they're a little out of my price range, but if they're all original and working perfectly, I have to admit I'm tempted. Any thoughts? What should I be wary of? I plan on driving them with a Luxman R-1050. Good match?
