    Electro-Voice 1182 capacitor confusion

    A neighbor gave me an electro voice 1182 a few years back. Right channel works, however left channel is very faint. I’ve identified the problem as a damaged, leaking 50mfd cap in the power amplifier board. This brings me down to the question, is mfd the same as uF? If not, please let me know the...

    Ortofon cartridge identification help please

    Hi, I have what I believe is an Oftofon FF cartridge body here, but I have also been told it might be a VMS ... Colour me confused. I always thought the VMS ones had a "key" at the bottom. Can anyone clarify for me. After a few internet searches I am even more confused. Thanking all in advance.
