    Marantz 4070 transformer hum & static electricity everywhere

    Picked up a Marantz 4070 last week and it has a couple of issues that I'm guessing are all at least somewhat related. Right now I'm using it as a pre-amp to an Adcom GFA-555, which goes to a pair of Infinity CS-3006 (which is why I need the Adcom because the speakers really need 100wpc at least)...

    Local guy has a Marantz 4070 for $325 that he has tested and says everything works. It doesn't have the SQ add-on thing, but I'm good with that. Cosmetic condition looks pretty good from pics.     MARANTZ 4070 pops when I switch off power button.

    Hi all, I've a Marantz 4070 the amp is ok and sounds good, but a small trouble is making me crazy: it pops loud when I switch-off power button. Looking at the Service Manual I can't see relais protection so i supposed that some faulty component may be the cause. Any idea? Thanks anyone!:beerchug:
