Hello!
Looking into how accurate a multimeter needs to be to set dc offset in amplifier? Today I’m using extech 355 which has an accuracy of +-0.5%. Is that not good enough?
Im reading that you should at least have a accuracy of +-0.1% what do my fellow audiokarmas think?
I'm trying to measure the continuity across my MC50 with a DMM and I'm having issues. I have the amp unplugged from power and disconnected from any inputs and interconnects. With my DMM in continuity mode, I'm touching the black probe to the chassis and the red probe to both prongs on the power...
Specifically trying to figure out what the power output is of my Marantz 2235's headphone out, and what headphones is can reasonably drive without additional amplification.
I understand I can just buy headphones plug them in and if they sound good, then it is good, but I'm curious as to how to...
New to Schottky diodes. From reading, I gather they are low-forward-voltage, fast switching diodes, with more reverse leakage than silicon diodes. Forward voltage drop (Vf) should be around 0.35V, and they should block in reverse.
There's a plethora of info online but I haven't come across a...
Hi all,
Anyone have a current digital multimeter that they like, that’s less than $50? Would love to have a Fluke, but just too expensive for my infrequent use, and my budget. I know that there are a ton of them out there, but an in-house recommendation (based on real use by my AK friends)...
I have a Pioneer SX-838. Since few weeks a noise appeared on the left speaker. The noise is still here when I change the speaker, or when I turn the volume knob or even the balance. Whatever the channel (Phono, FM or AUX) It's the same noise with the same volume. It's like a blown crackle.
I...
This is probably a longshot, but I am looking for a copy of the instruction manual for the Weston Model 976 Multimeter. I have looked at many of the test equipment / military shops online that sell and those that freely provide manuals and schematics, but to my surprise, no one seems to have a...
