I currently use a Pioneer PL-516 and was recently given a dusty old PL-117D. Is the PL-516 a better turntable than the PL-117D? I'm not finding much info on the PL-117D. Looking for opinions before I commit to the PL-117D as a project!

So I just purchased (locally, here in Montreal) an old Pioneer PL-516. It's in good shape, i.e. — it functions well! And sounds great. (I have a Pioneer PL-514 also, that I have plans to fix up and restore — it also sounds really good, but has some problems with the auto-return, etc)...
Hello everyone. Has anyone ever attempted (or has any idea if it is possible) to replace the PL-516 tonearm with one from a PL-518? From the service manuals it seems the mount is similar. Thanks!
