    Dual 1218 rubbing noise only when using stacking spindle

    I just fixed up a 1218 (just needed relube mostly) but I noticed something that happens only when using the stacking spindle. I hear a sort of rubberish rubbing noise and that happens even if a single record is on. It's every revolution and it's 2 sounds, one after the other, like whaa whAA...

    I think I have something blocking my spindle hole (Elac 10h)

    I had fun writing that title, anyway I got an Elac 10h recently- I'm totally new to turn tables. I got a stacking spindle on ebay which said it came from a Miracord 46. I only had the single play spindle. When I inserted the stacking spindle it was super wobbly and did nothing when I stacked...

    How interchangeable are elac stacking spindles from the same era?

    I have an elac 10h with only the single play spindle. I see some on eBay for elac 50h, 46, etc. Are they all the same? I don't wanna waste money on one that's incompatible.
