    Intermittent dropping of right channel. Sony STR V6

    I wanted to get a stereo for the basement and wound up with a Sony STR-V6. It seemed to be in great condition and it worked without a hitch for a couple of months. It has just recently started to intermittently drop the right channel. This is certainly unacceptable. Where to start?

    Sony STR-V7

    I rescued one of these monsters from the landfill. It has a torodial transformer. I'm no tech, but there is no voltage from the secondary windings. Two questions: 1- Anyone have a source for a replacement toroid xformer? 2- do any other of the Sony STR-V4, V5, V6 share the same xformer?
