Testing used up looking Tung-Sol 6550 Type one

See pictures; This was in my Dynaco Mk-3 Paoli mod amps. I was testing today using my Maxi-Matcher. This tube had been in amp for 4 years, I would guess around 1000 hrs and this was used already. A few weeks ago I retubed with GE 6550 and today I decided to retest the worst looking of the four...

    Sherwood S-5000II 7591 Tube Question

I need a set of 7591's for this amp. EH's are too fat, but it appears that JJ's and Tung-Sols will fit just fine. I have no experience with this tube, so I'm curious as to which ones to get. Any input or recommendations would be appreciated.

X-101-C Transformer Temp after New Tubes

Greetings! Y'all were super helpful at assisting me with getting my X-101-C back up and running and I have enjoyed many hours of happy listening since then. Anyway, since I knew nothing of the life or health of the original tubes (3 vintage Fisher branded and 1 vintage GE) I caught a sale picked...

    T-S 6550 biasing in Yaqin MC-100B

I have a quad of strong, vintage Tung-Sol 6550s (marked RCA) that I want to use in my bone-stock Yaqin MC-100B. I've seen posts here and elsewhere saying the T-S 6550s have been used in this amp before, but no mention of bias voltage. The factory-recommended bias voltage is 0.55V (even says so...

    Tung-Sol 7591's are being discontinued!

This week I was finally ready to upgrade the power tubes in my Fisher 500c, and I had my eyes on the Tung-Sol 7591a power tubes for a while. I contacted Jim McShane, and he told me that New Sensor is now out of these, and they won't be getting more! He said that much of the stock he has left...

Tung-sol 6550 kt88 factory matched pair nos with #2 stickers in original containers

What do I have here guys? My friend said they are really good tubes but I dont have an amp that uses them. They have never been removed from the cardboard insert they came in. The box is in good shape for its age and they have #2 stickers on them.

    Tung-Sol 6su7GTY (6sl7 type)

Here's some NOS 6su7gty's I have. These are a decent sounding tube. Not the best at anything...but a good all around 6sl7.
