Hi all I have a TA-4650 on my bench that according to the owner blew a fuse. When I received the amp I removed the v-fets and tested them, they all seem to be ok (see table below). wega v-4810 (sony ta-5650 v-fet) right channel lower volume and missing low frequencies dead v-fets? (problem isolated to the power amp section)
I bought a v-4810 for not a lot of money and I wanted to keep it for myself, however the right channel is not working correctly. I did some testing and sadly the issue lies in the power amp section. Sony ta-4650 inputs bleeding through?
My ta-4650 has a weird thing where if you have an input going into any of the line level inputs (haven't tried it with phono yet) and you switch to either the tape monitor or any of the other channels the signal from the input will be audible even if you have the volume knob turned all the way...- TrevorBarten
