My Sansui G22000 VU meters have stoped working :( my tech said it might be the Sony CX067 IC chip that is on the board for the meters. LBpete has told me about another potential problem that can cause the meters failures which is the reed relay, so my question is how would one approach fixing...

Hi - am looking for replacement axial VU meter bulbs for a Sony TC-630. They appear to be 2 volt bulbs, and are fed from a 2 volt winding on the power transformer. I don't know the mA rating of them. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, John

does anyone have any experience of fixing the vu lights on one of these ? Before i start to deconstruct the thing, i.e. Easy fix ? Or not.....
