♫ Saturday October-19 ♫ New England FALL FrankenFest 2019, Sutton, MA

I'd love to "Put On" a Shindig like this, but I'm such a Mean, Hateful ol' Sumbich & live so far out in Never-Never Land, NOBODY would come.. But I PROMISE I WOULDN'T make fun of the way youse Damyankees talk...Not TOO much anyway...
I was in your neighborhood last week (Bristol) and I could understand easily 50% of what y’all said. You are cordially invited to our next event where you are free to make fun of us all you wish, if we can understand you.

Wow, what a great show! :) Lots of cool stuff as always, a few examples of which decided to follow me home. Hope you folks weren't too bored by my demonstration of the (in)famed Accutrac 4000 turntable, which actually managed to behave itself for the most part! Here's a picture from shortly after I bought it, along with the demonstration LP which I'd actually found a couple of years beforehand:

That was an interesting piece...didn't notice the remote at the fest but now it makes more sense...

Looks to be a great time as always!
Who ended up herding the cats for the listening demos?
Looking forward to seeing you all at the next fest!

Me, fortunately this time my voice didn’t give out. We did the listening at 2pm while most of the folks were still there.
The event was over at about 3:30.
The winter event in West Boylston will afford us better listening opportunities but I still think we should have a general - “shows us what you got” session.
Glenn, you were missed!

Well, I CAN speak "Damyankee" pretty well... My wife is from The Cape of Cod, I went up to meet her family, I was on my Bestest Behaviour, said "Yes, Ma'am & No, Ma'am," & the same thing w/"Sirs", & they all liked it. Didn't even try to 'splain to 'em why the South was RIGHT, after all...

What a beautiful day to get on the highway for an audio event.
Lotsa fun today to see you folks, and here's a pic of Big Daddy (coffee cup included for scale).
Thx Jim, for organizing and dragging this beast along for today's demo.

Wow, that was fast with the pictures! Geez, gotta work on that gut :(

Thanks to all for making this a fun show, more thanks to those that purchased records from me, and curses on Tom B for seducing me with a lovely little Sansui G-3000...oh wait, he bought records from me, never mind that last bit

There were a few great demos, Jim's mammoth Sansui G22000 takes special note...anyone get a picture of that? Don't know who exactly was involved, but there was some great sounding music coming from that corner down by the bathrooms. And the ADC Accutrac turntable was a wonder to behold!

Oh, and cannot forget to mention the food. Two containers of home-made cookies were the first on the table, don't know how they lasted so long, just great! And then there was a crock pot with American Chop...was that yours Billy? Outstanding.

Cheers to all :thumbsup::banana::rockon:
Bill. Enjoy the G-3000

Many thanks to Jim and Bill and any others I may have forgotten, for putting together this fun event. But as always, I wound up going home with a lot more stuff than what I came with.

Another terrific event by the New England crew - that makes it about ten years we’ve put on two events per year. Im honored to be continuing the tradition started by Markus, Beemer (Paul), Frank and (audio) Don.

This event - as usual - was smaller then the Winter event but well attended by about 55 people. With a few extra generous attendees we raised $300 - which is the amount we’ll need for the next event.

The plan is to have the next event at the Masonic Lodge in West Boylston, MA. Im thinking we can have the Fall event next year back in Sutton since it’s a smaller gig.
The new location will have a variety of different spaces so we can have multiple listening session simultaneously.

Hats off to Dan aka Bucky Badger for coming in from Oregon (OK, also to visit his brother and enjoy the fishing).

I’m glad to have been able the share the madness that is my Sansui G-22000 (no, it’s not for sale).

It occurs to me that it’s getting harder to sell gear - probably because we all have plenty of “kit” but it’s easier to sell records since one can’t possibly have enough music.

And while the “stuff” is always an attraction, the real benefit is to be able to see old friends and make new friendships with like minded and equally obsessive individuals.

So, the next event will be in West Boylston on Saturday March 21st, 2020.

I’m also planning on a new version of the T-Shirt to offer. Stay tooned!

Thanks for the props I do miss these AKFests and all you guys.. I'm gonna try like hell to make it to the gig in March. Sounds like y'all had a blast!

Thanks Jim, I appreciate that!
At least I was having a great time hosting my daughters and fiancé's engagement party, and did get quite a few comments on how great the AR3's were sounding for the back ground music.

Biggest receiver I've ever seen in person...unfortunately, no pictures do it justice!

I never got the tall young fellows name on the left in the white shirt. Can someone identify him if you know
I bought some units from him and wanted to thank him.

Same here.....and one more pic to try to convey the 3-D bulk of the beast.

Can you imagine the service guys seeing one of these on their schedule back in the day? Lots of sick calls when that thing shows up! I don't know if the two big cylinders in the middle are power supply caps or transformers but they are damn near the size of the big Maxwell House coffee cans...unbelievable!
