104/2 tweeter replacement

hi
i have 104/2's , i refoamed a few months ago. now i keep hearing the tweeters should be redone.
but getting ferrofluid in canada has become a no no since 9/11.
i know i could ship the tweeters to the states to be done.

or i could buy these and not be without speakers while waiting.

last week i picked up the matching kube for $15 ... havnt tried it just wanted to complete the set

No shortage of ferro fluid on Ebay.ca.
It's not all the same stuff. Call SpringfieldSpeaker and ask about shipping.
The sell FerroTec products which is supposed to be the correct material and in the correct amounts. Their product is sold by Springfield.
As for those drop-ins.........Seriously?

the stuff on ebay.ca is not the same as used in speakers.
theres all kinds of threads about it on line...guys try it and find it is way heavy and dries out quickly.
i will try SpringfieldSpeaker , there are some things that can be shipped if the quantity is small.
like weed n feed ...cant buy it here ... but from the US in small spay bottles its ok

I got my ferro fluid for my 104/2's from parts express. No idea if they restrict delivery up north tho. Very pleased with ease of use and the results.

I just redid my ferrofluid with Parts Express too, as recommended in this thread:http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=671352. Huge improvement, find a way to get some!
