1210 Mk 2 - No sound

Im obviously not very good at this. If i touch the leads together i get 00 ohms, actually getting a reading is so tricky as the points are so close together but i will persevere

My meter is resistance is only 0.04 ohms which is negligible. Prop the cartridge up somehow so you can easily use 2 hands and measure the points in the image I posted.
 
I'm going to ask a very basic but important question.

Are you sure you have the cable from the turntable going to the Input on the preamp and a cable from the Output going to the Lepy amp? And everything is powered on? Does the Lepy work with other sources like your phone (directly, not through the Phono preamp)?

No its a fair enough question as i cant work out where im going wrong!

So heres the setup:
Technics 1210 mk2

This plugs into a Fosi Audio BOX X1 Phono Preamp
Both RCas plugged into the input Channels.
A separate RCA Cable goes from output channel to the audio output of a Lepy LP-V3S. theres not a phono input, could this be an issue?
Then it goes from there 4 speakers terminals, plus and minus for left and right
Speakers are B406a Speakers
Are they passive? I couldnt find anywhere that says they are and they are 80w so is the amp powerful enough to drive them? Currently when rigged up as described, i can feintly hear the music through the speakers and lots of hum!
All turned on.
Im at a loss!

There's no Phono on the Lepy; that's why you have the Fosi. A Phono preamp brings the low level signal of the turntable up to Line level which is what the Lepy needs.

The speakers are passive; that's why you need the Lepy. 80w refers more to maximum power but they only need a couple of watts to be driven to a reasonable volume. Did they work before?

Could be the stupidiest question ever on AK, but can the fact the amplifier is a digital input amplifier have anything to do with his issues?
 
So i ordered a cheap new cartridge off ebay, fitted it and it plays all ok. Only issue now is it only comes out of one channel so im sending it to an engineer this week to establish root cause and fix.
