14" receivers

..I'm currently in the middle of retromodding this vintage Canadian stereo cabinet. .. I'm having trouble finding a 14" receiver to replace the stock one with.

What brand is this console? what model # is on the receiver?

Sadly no. The tubes light up but the play/fastwrd/rewind won't move when engaged.

Tubes? what tubes are in the RtR?

Big issue: Ventilation. aka Keeping It Cool. Too small, too jam packed together. Cram it in a console cabinet, watch it overheat too soon. And it fail.

Since you are working with "Canadian"...what about going Brit with a "Quad" 303 or 405?

I've owned the 405 for years (without a hitch), but the 303 is smaller.
