Some options are factory installed,some are owner installed

Mine is also a '71 Cutlass S ... also originally a 350ci car ... mine was equipped with discs up front and drums in the rear.

I have my son's '71 El Camino SS in the garage. Older restoration that needs re-done. Unfortunately, his job/life has taken him in another direction, so we may send it down the road so it can be brought back to it's glory.

One of my first cars back in the 80's was a 1966 98 with the 425 10.25:1 Super Rocket and "Anti-Spin" differential.

I also had a super clean 72 350 Skylark.

I'm a Mopar guy now, though.

I'm kind of going down the same path as you with "owner installed" factory options for my 73 Satellite.

In the pic I can't tell if it's a blower of dual quad tunnel ram.
 
Awesome looking car! My first car was a 1996 oldsmobile cutlass and yeah I drove it to the ground during my college days. I miss it <3

Hopefully your Son will regain interest in the SS before it's gone forever and he regrets getting rid of it later down the road.

Many people I talk have either owned a Cutlass or have someone close to them who owned one and they always have fond memories of it.
 
That's a beautiful Olds you have there. My Olds was a 65 Cutlass S in Butternut Yellow. I put a balanced & blueprinted 455 in it and had lots of fun times. The 455 started out as a W-30 engine and I went on from there. It wasn't real fast but lots of fun.

I bet that 98 was a great highway cruiser and that 10.25:1 superrocket moved it off the line pretty good for the cars size.
The Skylarks are nice also.
I had a 68 Dodge Coronet 500 with a 318 and loved that car.
Very cool your adding options to your Satellite! I love all the extras!

The 76-78 Cutlass's were the car everyone wanted when I was in high school. Very nice a black one too.

Very nice,a 71 442,these might be among the most rare 442 in that body style. Always see 70's and 72's,not to many 71's.
We all have one or some we let get away.

Really nice looking Cutlass @triple20 Love that color paint.

I've had this thing kicking around since 1990. A birthday gift from my girlfriend. 72 Olds Cutlass supreme ragtop. 350 engine, TH350 trans, A/C , originally was a pale yellow car but previous owner painted it a nice Cadillac metallic charcoal color. Unlike yours mine is a more 'driver quality' car. Still have it. sitting at 112k miles now.

65's are great looking cars and I've always loved the butternut yellow especially if there is some black trim to go along with it.
I bet that 455 had tons of torque,the 455 I had sure did. In stock form they are usually over 500 lbs.ft.
