$2/lb Vintage Receivers in MN

Interesting way of selling something....by the pound! Being as I don't care anything about receivers anymore, it would have to be to buy then flip them to buy other goodies.

Strange listing.
Say Yamaha CR-1040 is about 35 lbs. So it makes it 70 bucks and you don't even have a clue if something is wrong with it? I'd pass...

Harman 930 worth a try!!

The Harman 930 is worth an attempt to get.

That piece was a true audio gem, well worth restoring if necessary.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers

I once bought a set of 4 31.5" Fostex 800 series woofers from an NPR engineer that had priced them at $1/lb. 3 of the 4 worked just fine. Turns out that he was an organ music/bass freak that wanted a smaller footprint. He had these in two ~100 cubic foot cabinets. Yikes!

:tresbon: Using one in my bedroom system. Such a warm, sweet, yet punchy receiver. Got it as a throw in on a pair of JBL Centuries and it turned out to be a steal. Someone go get it!!!
