Anyone in the Twin Cities like horns?

Worth the entry fee many times over, i expect it will turn into a craigsauction momentarily.

Anyway, they're late 60's/early 70's vintage A7 VOT's on the outside.

On the inside, at the minimum it sounds like one of the N800's was replaced with the network from a 604 duplex, that will need to be corrected as it's way to high a XO frequency. Beyond that they should have some form of 416 woofers and 802 or 806 compression drivers on the horns.

Somebody should really go and get those, they could piss off their neighbors, stress test the marriage, and get a front row seat to the magic of Altec midrange all in one 99 dollar installment.

Emailed a bud of mine who lives in that area. Told him they'd be perfect for his 15x20 mancave. :D

Good score lets hop an ak'er did indeed get them. Would be great at my shop, high ceilings and its around 50'wx 110'd out in the middle of nowhere so volume is never really an issue.:music:

Come to think of it i should be looking for a similar set up. :thmbsp:

They sound fantastic in my garage, and should project nicely to my fire pit on my 5 acre lot ;)

Looks like they have the 800 crossover bolted to the cabinet, and the 604 crossover with high attenuation hanging loose - this is the one that is currently hooked up. It's too cold out to mess around with these much tonight, but I will report back with pics and such soon. Been a while since I've found a good deal!

Good Job Man !

Great snag, Aaron. We all await your further postings on these VOTT.

(Should be perfect for multi-acre listening at your new "ranch".) :D

As one would expect, these things play loud and clear with just my Kenwood KR-4070 powering them. I backed out to the street and could hear them plain as day. I am going to dub them Altec VOTC (Voice of the Country).

:D

I know where you live. I'd think VOTB, VOTS or VOBFE is more accurate :D.
