Hey Guys,

Just had to tell someone.... I liked the 2015 so much that I bought a 5 button model and I have to say the build quality and the sound of the 2015 is just amazing for a 15 watt stereo. I got the 5 button this morning and it is one of the nicest I have purchase on eBay. Unit had it's original box and was super clean. I recapped it today and it sounds and looks wonderful.

I didn't know there were two different designations of that same model. Do you mean the first one you did was a B model? Looks great. They do sound pretty good for low wattage units. The 2010 that I'm just finishing sounds great as well. Fantastic that you managed to recap it in one day. I've been working on mine for a few weeks now. Work gets in the way of the fun things!!
 
The 2015 had a 4-button and 5-button variant. No different letter designations. Just visual indicator. The 5-button includes a Dolby FM button and has an extra undocumented board - PD01 with 5 caps and 4 transistors.

They are very cool little units and seems they are finally getting some respect price wise. Good when selling, bad when buying. :)
 
Here's the pair, 2015 4 button got new velum and cool blue LED's, 2015 5 button got cool blue LED's. Both units had the power supply, power amp and filter cap replaced.

They are both designated 2015 no B's, from the look the 5 button is the newer model (bottom unit) and added dolby as the additional button. I them checked on a scope and they are putting out 20 watts 8 ohms at .5% distortion. Not too shabby, 25% higher than rated power. Just amazed at the sound from these little guys. Rich

I'll tell ya Dearslayer, that solder sucking unit is so nice to use, did the power supply in about 10 minutes and the power amp in about 20 because of the big 3 pole caps, but it is really just heat, suck, remove and replace. I pull all the caps one at a time, putting the new one in place as I pull them and then go back with my variable temp iron and lock them all down at once. It really is great, best tool I have bought for this endeavor. Rich
 
Yea I been looking at them on Amazon. There's one there that I just have to get if I'm gonna keep at this hobby. Not sure Of the quality but it's got good reviews and it's just over $200.00.

Looks pretty nice, comes up at $145.00 US on amazon prime here
 
Would work out about the same in CDN funds because of our weak $$ once the conversion is done plus the shipping. I may have to pull the trigger on it. I've been holding off for too long.
 
Having those two units together is kind of like having a '66 Mustang fastback and convertible parked in the driveway. The pair is better than either by itself.:thumbsup:
