2230 left channel crackling

Excellent, thank you. I had read that service bulletin some time back and decided not to do it on my 2230 - and had forgotten about it actually. Thanks for the reply!
You are welcome! Up north there in Ann Arbor you wouldn't need to worry about it anyways. Most 2230 run pretty cool. On units without the bulletin "fix", I replace H757 with a pair of 1N4148 in series and stand them up off the board so they can thermally track the ambient air.

I'm sad to say I swapped in the replacement P750 board today that came from a supposedly functioning 2230 unit and the left channel now is completely dead. I used the original heat sinks and the new output transistors and simply swapped the replacement board in and it's not working. Now I'm really at a loss. The previous board worked, but the volume was low and crackly.

I have the other P750 from the right channel I guess I could try? Or was this not as simple as a straight swap?

Any ideas or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I feel defeated today for sure.

Thanks!
