2250B is not powering on at all

Hi,
I am sure that this topic has been covered but a search didn't show any results. If someone can direct me to some threads on this topic that would be great.
Otherwise, we can continue from here. As the title says, I am not getting anything when I turn on my Marantz 2250B.
I have 0v going to the large capacitors by the transformer. Does that confirm that the transformer is dead? If yes, what are my options? If not, then what should I check next?

Did you check the main fuse? Make sure that the wall outlet you are plugging into has power. You can check power to the receiver by plugging in a small table lamp into the utility outlet on the back of the receiver and see if it will light up.
 
Yes, I should have mentioned that I checked the main fuse on the back of the unit for continuity as well as the three fuses inside the unit and they are all fine. And yes, the wall outlet is working. I even checked the ends of the plug for continuity.
 
Since you have both the main fuse on the back and 3 interior fuses, you must have a 220V unit for the European market.
Check to make sure that you have the voltage selector plug installed correctly for your line voltage. What is your line voltage? Are you in the US?

Set your DMM to measure ACV and see if you measure anything after the three fuses (black lead clipped to ground), red to fuse end.
To measure the higher voltage for the power amp, measure ACV from transformer ORG wire to ORG wire, then ORG to WHT wire.
I don't know what J025 is, but it also looks like a fuse after the main fuse F001. It might look like a resistor.

CATUTION: You will be measuring dangerous/lethal voltages at the main and secondary outputs of the transformer.
Do not touch bare wires with your hands. Do not touch both chassis and wire lead at the same time.
Turn-off power or unplug while adjusting probes.

Thanks. Check to see if you are getting any AC on the fuses (with respect to chassis ground). Or if it's easier, just measure ACV between wires: ORG to ORG, YEL to YEL, GRN to GRN.
 
Yes, I just realized that you had instructions for me at the very bottom of your last post. Sorry for the inconvenience it cost you but the answer to your question is 0v from gnd to each of the three fuses.
 
AC volts, not DC volts... correct? And you checked to make sure that your meter does not have an internal blown fuse?

When you plug the voltage selector plug into the socket, which pins are connected together?

Yes, I had my meter on AC. All 4 fuses are good. Thanks for asking again.
I just noticed something interesting. The red and the grey wire coming out of the transformer have burn marks on them as well as a green wire. I wonder if these wire haven't lost continuity. I attached a picture

Those look like soldering iron burn marks caused from a careless replacement of the main filter caps. Doesn't look like it went down to the copper wire.
But, maybe those caps were not installed correctly. Can you post a photo showing both caps on the bottom side and top side so I can see the mfg and cap series.
Spread the wires a little bit so I can see all of the terminals and wire colors attached to them.
There seem to be a lot of terminals on the bottom (not just 2), so I want to make sure the wires are connected to the correct terminals.

Those photos are OK, no need for another.

So you measured DCV from the + terminal to - terminal on each of the 10,000uF caps and you read 0VDC, yes?

Actually one did----I am in the US and I just confirmed that it is set at 120v. For the record, I have been using this receiver for years but now nothing.
