I found a 2265B a couple of years ago in excellent cosmetic condition. Unfortunately it had been a victim of lightening that took out the power supply and P700 amplifier. While I was able to repair the power supply tlhe P700 board is beyond repair assume of the traces were blown off as well as cracks in the board. I have been able to restore everything else back to working condition - except the P700 board that will require replacement. After two years of searching the normal sources (Barter Town, auction sites, and FB) I have had zero success finding a replacement for sale to fix this beautiful receiver.
I did find a guy in Bulgaria that is selling clone printed circuit boards for other Marantz and Pioneer classic receivers. Unfortunately he does not make one for the 2265B. After more research I have found several services that will make a clone board using a photo copy technique. I have an original service manual that will provide a good image.
Has anyone tried this with success? I am to the point it may be the best option to part it out and just move on to other projects.
