2270...all bulbs dim.

Thank you for the information on the lumens of the lamps. Sorry if I misunderstood...

I will check the lamps I installed for markings but the ones that came with the 2270 have no markings whatsoever anywhere on the end caps or the glass.

I think you questions have answered half my question.

The data sheet on the JKLGF780 reads this lamp as 12v 150ma and emitting 9 lumens if I am reading it correctly...incorrect application here?

I am still confused as to why the bi pins, which seem to be OEM, are as dimly lit as the 780's.

yes, a GF780 at 7Vac will be rather dim. Get the JKL GF670 ( 8V 0,25A) this pilotlamp gives good brightness in your 2270.
Don't know what is wrong with your bi-pins? 6,3V - 40mA would be the correct value. How do they cpompare with the old Bi-Pins?

According to the JKL data sheet, the GF series measure 27.94/31.00 mm.

The bi pins seem to be original and unchanged. I measured the pins and they are getting 6.3vac exactly...

These normally do look kind of dim. Wait until you get the correct lamps for the main illumination, then compare with the dial plastic/new vellum in place.

Will do...It may be a moot point though, I have decided to do a LED upgrade like I did on my other 2270 and my 2245. No heat problems and once and done :thmbsp:

Good posting on measuring the stereo lamp voltage, I've had a few people run into a pair of 8v/40ma bi-pins in series, as said, most are 6.3v/40ma in series, Dave.
