2275 rebuild project

This vintage group of Marantz's (2235, 2240, 2250, 2275, 2285) has a problem with pad/trace lifting. Be careful when you are desoldering. I would suggest a desoldering gun and don't keep the heat on it longer than necessary.
 
Hello all,
Started a 2275 recap and found that the main caps called out in this list are obsolete. Anyone know of an alternate?
I looked around, but came up short.
Any help would be appreciated.

Measure the diameter and height of the existing caps and compare with the specs above. Are the original ones screw terminal or solder?
 
Thanks for the help Dankik. I learned how to use the alternate product search and came up with PN 661-6D750MLN183TC79U. It is a screw type, but it should work well. It is 50.8mm x 79mm tall. The originals are 50mm X 70 tall solder type. I have enough room under the cover that the 79mm height will fit. They are the same uf and voltage rating as the replacements called out in the list. We shall see how they work. Thanks again for the assistance.:beerchug:

I just completed a rebuild of a nice 2275 with the help of this thread. I would like to thank all who contributed to the excellent information that made this a thorough and relatively easy job. It is great to be part of a community that shares knowledge to help others keep these great receivers playing in systems for years to come.:thumbsup:

I never would have started this thread if it weren't for those same great folks here on AK. Hard to believe it's been almost 8 years since I started the project. Hope you enjoy your 2275 for years to come.
 
Hey Dave - sure hope you did okay with that wild girl Helene! I forget which side of the big peninsula you were on...
 
I'm on the west coast so we took the brunt of the storm. Eleven dead in our county (Pinellas). The barrier islands that stand between us and the Gulf took a real beating. I'm lucky to be in mid-county on the highest part of the peninsula so no flooding here. And, there's another one brewing down by the Yucatan Peninsula right were Helene got started. Keep us in your thoughts. Dave
 
Two other things: the storm passed us when it was low tide. Otherwise, the flooding would have been even more devastating. Also, this storm was 100 miles offshore when it passed by. I can't imagine how much worse things might have been.
 
Another update: Hurricane Milton delivered the second half of a “one-two” punch to us last week. I lost power for two days and still don’t have internet. I’m sending this via my cel phone. No big issues where I live apart from tons of downed trees. Other folks around here suffered massive flooding. At least this time the hardheaded along the beaches and barrier islands got out early. The near miss of Helene showed them what happens. Dave

I've had a 2275 on the shelf for years and this thread is bookmarked just waiting for me to get that heavy dog off the shelf. Jeesh, if I wait long enough, none of those replacement parts will be available anymore.
