4500 vacuum tubes

If I was close I'd make an appointment for a lookey. Any number of sweep tubes like 6JB6, 6LQ6, 6LR6 & the like would defray a good chunk of the $1150. When they usually sell for $25-30 a pop...they add up quickly. There's other very useful under-the-radar tubes as well...8BQ5, 10BQ5, etc. Just scrounge the right filament transformer and you're good to go.

Could be a honey pot, could be a crap pile. .

I got a chuckle there Sam. Except when referring to an actual pot for holding honey the term "honey pot" is almost always a negative thing (for those seeking goodies anyway). I can see the tabloid headline now... "Tube Porn Honey Pot Snares Kinkless Tetrode Distribution Ring"

Wow I made my earlier statment with the impression the c/l post was 9 hours old. With the amount of people hunting tubes up in these woods, you can almost be certain it's a crap pile...

Anybody check it out live and in person ?

He should at least list some model numbers. I don't get some people. They post a pics of a lot of parts or equipment and you have to figure out if the collection is worth getting.

Yep, we've left a few thousand behind haven't we...

Heck, I think I have a few thousand here that wouldn't bring $25 for the lot. Then again a bought a lot that was listed at one time for $1500, after a few weeks I bought it for $50. In there I found one of those black glass Ken-Rad 6SN7's to match the one I showed you in the hieghts, so it made that deal for me :D

And the price gets better. I completely ignored the "4 pin, 5 pin, 6pin" part of his ad as well...that means old radio tubes. A bit smaller audience for them...but it beats getting crates full of series-string TV tubes.
