600 supreme/ 600T

I finally got these 2 together along with the KD 550, Super pumped! I bought the 600 supreme off Facebook market place and the 600T off eBay

Nice setup!- if that was the 600T that came from Dallas (eBay), you got a pretty good deal on that. Excellent tuner! I have the 650 Supreme amp (recently restored), so I'm holding out for the matching 650T tuner, but they are uber rare. I have a nice KT-9900 tuner that has the matching gun metal grey face but it's more of a natural match for the 8150 amp. They still look and sound great together.

That is a pile of nice heavy kenwood. Just think how great it will sound with speakers you really love. Because there isn't a lot of universal love of Sansui speakers.
Of my speakers, I'd probably use the DCM Time Windows.

Wow your gear looks like jewelry!! Man you got the crem da la crem! Your right, the 600T came out of Dallas, cleaned up metal face with tooth paste. Extremely happy with it. Good luck with the 650T, you’ll get it

I had to replace voice coil in 1 mid- speaker. I bought those awhile ago, I jus liked the looks of them. I was really surprised at the internals… a lot of components. I re-capped everything. I’ll research speakers… got let my wife cool off a bit✌️

Not the 600 Supreme but definitely paying homage with it's clean architectural layout of the true dual mono design, the KA-7300. Along with it's matching KT-7300 tuna and TOTL KX-1030 cassette it makes for a nice bedroom setup.

Whenever I get off my ass and install the shelf my KD-500/Grace G707 will complete the period correct system.

I really like the 7300, your right it’s layout/build looks very similar to the 600 for sure. I like the glow of the equipment lit up at night while it plays classic tunes!

And I could be mistaken but I believe there are no rack handles for the 600:D

Most likely a good thing, the rack handles were not cheap.

Yup, that 7300 is the downsize model weighing in at a third less than the 600. Put another way the 600 weighs in at 1.5 times the 7300.

All those heavy metal knobs make a difference. The 600 needs the handles but it exudes quality and handles would be out of place on those units.

The 600 is my dream Kenwood. Love everything about it, including the lack of handles. The knobs are literally art pieces. My KA-6004 has the nice machined knobs but those cheap, plastic tipped toggles Did they ever make a wood cabinet for the Supreme series?

Those early Kenwoods, I had a KT-7000 have very nice quality parts and the metal toggles of the 600 and -xx06 units are really nice touches compared to the typical switch cover. Those plastic tips, whose idea was that? someone working for a different company?

Well done on putting that amp on top of the tuner! Often overlooked detail in equipment preservation. Beautiful units both btw.

I’m not sure? you can buy them on eBay that are pretty nice. There is a guy that makes them for the pioneer SX series.

I finally got the main filter caps in… backordered for months. Took my time removing old caps, did a lot of taping off areas that metal chips might go. Made me very nervous!
