Supreme 700M+700C vs Supreme 600

mad shadows

I have a Supreme 600 and I have the chance to buy a 700M+700C combo.
Does anybody have the experience of both the 600 and the 700 combo? How big is difference (sound wise)?

PS. I really like the Supreme 600

The 700M will have a bit more power into 8 ohms (200W vs about 170~180W for the 600). I think the phono stage on the 600 is a tad better than the phono on the 700C, but a properly rebuilt 700C (with film caps replacing the stock electrolytics in the signal path), the 700C will have a cleaner and more natural sound for everything else.

The 111 pound Kenwood 700M/C/T stacked combination is one of the most beautiful machines ever made. If rebuilt by EchoWars it IS the most beautiful machine ever made. Period. The End.

Well the transistors in one channel of the 700M had been replaced at some point and the visual condition was not very good so I passed. The price was rather high as well.

I have a Kenwood Model 600 mine does not say supreme anywhere so is it different from a Supreme 600??
Also lost the front part of the bass control knob, desperate to find one can any one help find a spare??

The Supreme Series was special-order stuff, and included the Model 500 & 600, as well as all the 700-series gear. None of them say 'Supreme' anywhere on them.

The out-put transistors in one channel on the 700m had been replaced with Toshiba´s (red writhing on the transistors). Is this good or bad?
