80's Technics Integrated Amps

Technics Xfmrs have thermal fuse In them… easy enough to bridge

If you’re handy with a multimeter we could track the culprit down
I'm sure that I could take some readings but I would not know where to start. I'm guessing plug it in and then check some voltages with the meter. There is no service manual available.

I figured it might be something like a thermal fuse...

@SVI2004A
Ops I forgot the @
Yeah have both of those - the A5 a solid performer, well built and dependable (the SU-V8 effectively has same power amp section) these ran from 1978-83
The SU-A6MK2 equally a solid performer - over this way I haven’t had any IC issues arise from them…

A good write up on the A5 Here

One of my A5 power amps I have fitted with larger reservoir caps, SanKen outputs & Bourns trimpots

@SVI2004A hi, do you know if the RSN 6000A on the 1000M2 can be replaced with 6000B ?

My problem if you remember was after all 2 transistors. One on the small psu pcb and one of the main pcb. Regarding the "dead" state on the standby.

Amp worked for about 3-4 days on very low volume playing FM radio but now the SVI module failed and the resistor between the 2 main capacitors fried.

The SVI on the microscope shown one leg cutted.

I was thinking to "steal" modules from A707 or A808, the SVI and the RSN along with the AN7062 IC.

Yeah RSN6000B is the next batch of RSN6000A - possible minor revisions.
It will work fine in your amp… definitely make sure SVI is ok before installing it.
