Here's a very cool story about a sniper from WWII... Awarded with the Black hat, and an exact replica of the gun he used in the war.

That is a great article. I'm wondering why it had to be found via the Daily Mail? I did a google search and the only printing I found in the U.S. dailies was in the Memphis Democrat, only one.

I mean there's only so much room on those pages and there's a new season of American Idol on, right?

Even with the old inaccurate rifle he got it within 3 shots!

FWIW, the 1903 A4 rifle is anything but an inaccurate rifle. It's still highly prized and capable of outstanding accuracy. It remains one of the best bolt action rifles ever made (second only to the K98 Mauser upon which it was based).

this gentleman was featured on an hour long show on Discovery, The Military Channel, not sure which, sometime in the past couple of years, and is a very worthwhile watch if you can find it. His humility matches his confidence and ability with his rifle, which is truly saying something
