Hi Folks,
I currently own a pristine non-recapped C-200 preamp, and like it a lot. However, I don't like that it doesn't accept MC cartridges in the phono stage, thus necessitating pre-preamplification (head amp).
Does anyone have an opinion on how the later model C-222 (which accepts MC in the phono) would compare to the C-200? Build quality and most importantly, sound.
Anyone have comparative experience with these two? It seems that the C-222 generally sells for a bit less on the used market, but I am not sure why, and it arouses suspicion that it's somehow of lower quality than the C-200.
Things to watch out for with the C-222?
many thanks for your input.
