Yeah, that is one ugly cobble job. I guess someone just did not care.

I would directly contact Midwest Speaker and they can probably sort it all out for you. Also how much are you willing to spend because there may be cheaper alternatives if you can find the right replacement unit at the proper crossover point and sensitivity. But it looks like Midwest Speaker can fill you in on all of that.
 
There are alternatives if all that matters is crossover, response and sensitivity. The HiVi Q1R is a drop-in replacement for $20 each that (with the same added coil the MW copy requires) will provide original response. Where it comes up a bit short is in dispersion (it'll be beamy compared to the original and the MW copy).

The Q1R and MW tweeters are the current preferred replacements. Original tweeters that aren't performing to spec (which includes most used ones on eBay) can be rebuilt, but that's obviously not an option here.
