The only Shure cart that comes close in overall quality (read "joy when listening to it") is my NOS M95ED. M97XE and Me97HE are really not bad, especially in the bass, but a bit - well - boring. If I wouldn't have discovered the brick, I would have been totally happy with them. But wait! I own an Astrion for decades now ...

I’ve got the Point 4 w/ original nude conical (more rare than just about any ADC stylus), Point 4E, 660, 770, 10E MKII, 220X, 10E MKIV, 25, XLM MKI, XLM MKII, XLM MKIII, ZLM MKIII, VLM MKII/III, Q36, K3, QLM 36/34/32/30, PSX40/30, TRX-2, and assorted others such as Integras (3) and Integra ST. Also the rare NAD9300 and NAD9200. And many original extra styli besides originals for all of those listed above.

This thing is astonishingly dependent from a proper alignment. Even at such a basic turntable and arm as the CEC.
