Admiral console

Anyone familiar with a Admiral model # 6149 (tube) console?

It has a separate stereo amp with 2 6BQ5 tubes.

I wonder if this would be a worthwhile (project) stand alone amp?

I have searched online but come up empty.

I pulled a stereo single ended 6BQ5 amp out of a beat-up Admiral; played around with it a while, ended up with an SE 45 amp that was pretty decent. Fun & cheap!

Alas, the dog chewed up the cheap u-bracket output transformers.

Ok I think I found a pic of the amp on ebay.

I refurbed one of those, but kept it in the console. It doesn't sound great, but the speakers are the limiting factor I'm pretty sure.
