So I picked these up off of CL over the weekend. These are my latest pair of speakers and are quite clearly better than anything else I've owned.
Just amazing highs, mids, and lows. Now my other speakers, which were quite nice, are now terrible. Oh well.
Not to mention....good looking.
Do NOT sell them. DAMHIK
The L620 is no starter speaker, I have a set, among other ADS speakers, and the L620 deserved their own system in my house, so they reside in my basement cave, as a dedicated analogue system, paired with the NAD 3150, NAD 4150 tuner, yamaha table and some old Magnavox cd player. It is a definite ear opener, and just luscious to listen to for extended time, you really don't need to hunt down the bigger ADS speakers as GD70 suggests, but you won't be disappointed if you do. In my avatar, there are two sets of ADS speakers stacked, the L980 and the L880, both are great sounding, especially together, but the L620 stands quite well against them for overall listening pleasure, just another example of how the designers at ADS had a purpose for every speaker model, maximizing the sound quality to any room or speaker size.
He could just look for 3-way models as the 620 is about the same size as the 710 a very respected ads speaker. I know you're talking the 910 or some towers, though.Once an ADS owner, there's no looking back! You like those, start looking for the larger models!
I was thinking along the lines of L780, L880, and maybe the L980 if they can be found, and agree, the 710 is very good.He could just look for 3-way models as the 620 is about the same size as the 710 a very respected ads speaker. I know you're talking the 910 or some towers, though.
Nine 1290s simultaneously? @plugto any pics/video of that system perhaps in a separate thread?
Speaking of center channels, there’s an orphan 620 on the Seattle CL for 50 bones, no affiliation.
